Hey jmesta, A bit off track here, just noticed that you did Geography in HSC 2005, wanna know how hard is it to get a Band 6 in Geography?

The thing with those big ring folders is that they tend to rips the holes punched, therefore making the notes dangling =/

It's a pretty organised plan, but it will take a lot of effort and commitment to stick to all those things. Good luck anyway I hear some people write 90+ solid pages of notes for the humanity subjects, how do you guys do it and how do you file/organize the notes etc?

:wave: 1.) The HSC mark is the average taken from the Assessment mark and the actual exam. Let's say if your internal rank was 10/120, and the guy who was ranked tenth in the external HSC exams got 86. You will then get 86 for your assessment mark and you add and average that with whatever...

No, its not TOTALLY impossible, but it is just really really hard to get a Band 6 in Standard. The whole myth about Standard scaling heaps down is not exactly true. The idea is that people who are decent in English tend to do Advance leaving the so called 'poor performing group' in Standard...

Share your plans about the final, real holiday before HSC 2008 offically commences in Term 4. For me, I plan to do some catching up in Maths and Chem, and some good rest. :)

Not all are, but most of them. To the OP, I am in the exact same boat as you 9x/105. I bombed out in the first assessment task getting only 5/15, 33%. Slowly the marks risen to 80% then dropped again :( I just did my Yearlies, I hope I did decent as I did put in some effort... Anyway, I hope...

How can you compare an English to a maths tutor? That's a really n00b question...

Yeah, I think we had the same paper. There was a shitload of stuff on copper and a question about safe storage of Alkane, and you had to draw a 1,2 butene or whatever in the end.

Chem Yearly was insanely hard, that's probably because I am dumb :( Wish I listened to minhthu :(
