gh3y is right --> yes, the question changes each year...well spotted...however, the purpose of the questions do not. you are not writing an essay at university level which are focused on thesis rather than intrinsic text. yes, you synthesise your texts to develop your thesis in a HSC essay...

exactly - i feel bad charging $30, but if you're putting in a lot of work for them and it's working, then it's justified, especially if you have to travel to them.

you're talking yourself into circles doll. it's not so hard --> for your questions worth smaller marks, remember that they're not looking for an in-depth analysis of the text. they're looking for you to make two points about journeys which are shown through two separate techniques. that's it...

well, i got my letter from them saying about the judging and how i'd gone early this year, so i imagine you'll have to wait til 2006 to hear anything

ahh doll, don't worry. HSC is not the be-all and end-all! and i guarantee they won't ask you to write a haiku...if they do i so owe you the biggest chocolate muffin i can find :p

when i did this i wrote out dot point lists of productions, their readings and how the techniques displayed the meaning. i tried to focus on 2-3 scenes so that i could compare the different readings easily
