    Graduate Recruitment 2007

I am talking about corporate culture, that has nothing to do what universities we came from. :S And I am afraid you have the wrong impression on how partners are paid. It is not as simple as 'sharing the equity'. You are not going to have one big 4 firm paying a substantially different...

    Graduate Recruitment 2007

to be completely honest (dis-regard my post in the other thread :P) I personally don't think it makes much of a difference. They both pay similiar in the end, they both have great cultures, they will provide quality training and experience, and if one of the big 4 go under, the other 3 are...

    EY vs KPMG

EY is better. I am completely unbiased.

    Thoughts on recruitment

That is all the people I keep seeing around...especially Level 32 today. Will it ever end? That must of had a few applicants.

Dont worry, chicks will dig you when you start as well. :P

Yeh I am a cadet atm, and I honestly really enjoy working at EY. People are great, training is awesome, they look after you, plenty of socialising (free beers) and chicks dig it. If you outgoing and friendly (even if your ARE in audit :P) you should find yourself at home. So yeh...look...

    Graduate Recruitment 2007

Congrats man! EY is the place to be ;)

    Thoughts on recruitment

Yeh that is interesting...what I found was the difference between PwC and EY when I was going through cadetship interviews and acceptance was that PwC as you would imagine (having the biggest rep) was very straight and serious, I did not notice much enjoyment going around (from the moment I...

    Graduate Recruitment 2007

Anyone have interviews on Level 42 at EY? I have seen AND heard plenty of interviews. :P

I have actually found that the tax group tend to be the more outgoing, confident, and exciting people at EY. I am not even passionate about tax yet, so I am being quite un-biased.

    Anyone looking into Tax?

I was talking to some people today, the best piece of advice that can be offered is to follow the application...dont bullshit, and dont fill up space with answers that dont belong. Always remember that academics is no more important than other things.

I am enjoying it to date, despite the fact that it can be quiet every now and then. But this just leaves me a good oppurtunity to get uni work done. It can get pretty technical, with alot of reading and analysing to be done to come out with the right answer. Grad applications for next...

    Drummers Unite!

Evidently I drum...lol I did my HSC last year and got 96 in music. I played Stream of Consciousness by Dream Theater and Redefine by Incubus. I also did two Vivas. I have a Pearl Export, and use Sabian. There is a pic of my baby in my sig :P I continue to expand my kit, which is one of...

Why do drummers get it so hard? lol

Another way to be successful in music as a drummer is to be good at more than practical. For instance work on your Viva Voce (Musicology). As it turns out I nailed mine and ended up getting into encore for my Viva. In retrospect I was whinging about nothing, Im a very proud drummer who got...

    Music1

A performance is exactly that...a performance...so perform! Regardless of what you play, make it entertaining, you are their to impress the crowd (ie the markers). There is a fine line between being a musician & a great player of your instrument. The best marks go to those performances which...

    accounting/finance salaries

Mashi you talk shit. Go get used by SEVERAL companies whilst on your co-op yeh?

    Ernst & Young

Yeh I think this year is the first year Deloitte are taking trainees/cadets, they have never usually done that. Politik as for wanting one at PwC, I think you should apply for all of them, even smaller firms, because at the end of the day, there is not much difference. And after all...
