    Accounting Cadetship 2008

This is true. However, the pay is, quite frankly, not great, regardless of the firm. Particularly when you're in 2nd year and people are earning $20 an hour in casual jobs whilst your wage is roughly $12 (sometimes less because there is no overtime). However, that doesnt include the...

    Accounting Cadetship 2008

There was no formal dinner. Infact, i went to multiple big 4 offer celebrations with drinks and PwC was the only firm where the managers took us out for drinks AFTER the drinks around the city.

    Accounting Cadetship 2008

I'd say that says more about MMA than it does KPMG itself. As for the question about "recent reforms in the accounting industry" that's the sortof high level questions you should be asking at the end of the interview, i know my interviewers enjoyed them. Though, if you don't know enough...

Looking for a basic digital camera

Buying cameras is really simple. Just get a canon. The features, optical zoom size and peripheral crap are meaningless if the camera can't focus at all and takes blurry shots 70% of the time. Canon's are brilliant on all these fronts.

i'd be careful not to be too arrogant. That's a sure way to get yourself rejected.

    Accounting Cadetship 2008

the first firm to give out contracts is purely out of scheduling, i wouldnt choose the place you'll be at for 3-5 years out of that. That said, if its between a big 4 and a mid tier then sure go for it. Though KPMG isn't the best choice because of a few dodgy audits lately, i'd hold out...

    Xbox360 or PS3?

if you get the right version of the xbox 360 you can pirate games on dvd's. Also, its a software update so no need to buy expensive modchip. therefore, you won't ever have to buy games again. ps3 is hard to pirate because bluray copiers are expensive

Free trains: people scamming the system (SMH)

but if they don't have the power to ask for your name, then aren't they wrongfully detaining you then?

Free trains: people scamming the system (SMH)

i read an article a week back that made all this debate redundant, if this is true its unbeleivable why its not more widely known: "FINES issued by railway transit officers could be invalid because the officers do not have the power to demand an offender's date of birth. They also lack the...
