    I was talking about the question which asked why the value was less than the theoretical value, not what the value of the molar heat of combustion of 1-propanol.

    I said that when some atoms absorb energy and emit light, the light isn't always visible, (that is why AAS is used), thus it would be inappropriate to use a flame test. I remember reading it in a book somewhere.

    Same. What radioisotopes did you use? I used Cobalt - 60 and Iodine - 131. Cobalt - 60 used to sterilize medical equipment (industry) Iodine - 131 used to treat thyroid cancer in the thyroid gland. (medicine)
