Anyone know the raw band cutoffs for SOR1 last year or the year before? Any past SOR1 markers? How hard do they usually mark, by the way? I got 49 in the Catholic Trial, but I don't think any of the RE teachers at my school have been markers.

Lol, it's one Q. Don't stress. You sound like you've put the work in, and that will show in your exam. Plus, it's IPT. Doesn't prepare you for a future in computing technology, if you want to go in that direction. Just prepares you for an exam on the 30th of October, 08. No use whatsoever...

They have been removed from the syllabus, beginning 2009 hsc. Thus, why they were not included in this year's paper. They are considered too technical. I'm so glad my teacher advised me not to study them, it paid off.

I agree it was way too heavily focused on issues. But if you look at past papers, there has been a marked shift in approach to IPT, from intensely technical papers to more socially and ethically implicated papers. Plus they are removing a lot of the technical stuff from the syllabus next year...

Did you only study technical things like hardware & software and not ethical issues? For that Multi Q, features of video processing software can include: editing, compression. and many more that I can't think of at the moment.

We were taught relational/logical operators in the Information Systems and Databases syllabus. It was a sweet exam. Band 6 here I come. What's better, I never have to study that shit ever again!

THAT IS EFFING BRILLIANT. Please be similar this year...Coz I will definitely get a band 6 XD Does that mean that, in 2006, 83=90, 84=91, 85=92 and so forth? Huge seven-mark jump...? Perhaps the cutoff will be higher this year because the test was fairly straightforward and simple.
