I wonder how hard they mark ext, generally.
My Ext teacher is a marker and she marks hard internally.
But she has said that at the marking centers they do give many high 20s.
i'm scared, even though i was thrilled after today; this is one of those subjects which could go any way.
what did...
Source? Reliability? Perspective? Context?
Haha, thanks Kujah.
aren't there any past ext markers on this site? i'd really like to know, especially for recent years.
Does anyone know (even approximately) the raw band cutoffs and/or raw marks needed to attain a band E4 (45+) in History Extension in 2006-07?
Thank you
Tenth place in Modern last year got 97 as their overall HSC mark? or aligned exam mark?
(This has probably been ascertained already, but I have forgotten.)
Good philosophy though.
heyyy everyone, i hope you all went well today, i am thrilled with the exam XD
just wondering if anyone - past markers, BOS people, teachers, or students willing to take a stab at it - know the approx raw band cutoffs for ext? (2006-2007)
thanks
So Boy A got a state ranking purely because he earnt an aligned exam mark of 97?
And how do you know that 97 was the cutoff for a modern state ranking last year? The BOS isn't supposed to release that information. Is one of your teachers a senior marker or something?
[I'm glad you know though...
argh, isn't it terrible.
i am frightened despite the fact i got 100 for the major work and 96 overall.
teachers are speculating i'll get a state ranking which just makes it worse.
like
now 45+ isn't enough, it has to be a state ranking.
gahhh.
16th just for those who come first in the state, right?
And rest of the state ranks get notified a few days later.
I'm hoping to get one for Modern and also Society.
Teachers are speculating I'll get one for Extension History too.
Pressure.
ipt is a piece of fucking shit fucking fuck and deserves to die.
there, i got it out of my system.
so glad that course is over. what a thrill to throw out my notes XD
I WANT POMO.
and a focus on subjectivity would be brill.
i'd also love changing approaches to history.
what I do to engage with the source is challenge it based on my personal throughline, backed up with historians of course. (obviously I also use historians to agree with aspects of the...
My only comment: bad choice with IPT.
Has so much content and none of it is interesting.
And it scales badly unless you are willing to put excessive amounts of time into it to get 94+.
that was before the syllabus changed though, and it was harder then due to comparative studies. so it might be 43-44 to align to 45 now.
any recent data, anyone?
