    what topic scares you?

But it is still good to learn how to do questions without calculus, because there is the chance that you'll get a question with "without using calculus" tacked onto the end... :p

How much work are you doing over the holidays???

So jealous... saw several different trailers for HP on the 'net - looks soooooo good...

    this years Major Project ideas?

Haha, nice one. Did your teacher mind at all? What exactly was your topic? I know you said education with videos and games, etc., but was it like a little-kid's "ABC" learning program or something?

    problem with topic tests..

A really good way to practice, if going through all the textbooks doesn't appear to be helping, is to go through past assessments. If it's the wording that's troubling you, practicing past assessments will help. Ask your teacher for some. Perhaps you may also be having some trouble with...

    4u Mathematics Marathon V 1.0

I feel so far behind... just learnt sketching of complex number locus, and can't recall learning the max modulus and min argument... >.< Meh, I'll have a go anyway, and then we can all see what not to do... :o ummm... a) ok, so |z-2-2i|=1 would give us a circle with centre (2, 2i)...

    isp dates

Hmmm... that's not much time. And again, I have found another in the same night. Your little side profile thing says "HSC: 2005"... and you are about to hand up your ISP? ;)

    Telstra Assessment Due 2mz, Help!!

Umm... just a question, but if your HSC is in 2005, then why should an assignment matter NOW???

    what makes a good speech?

I've been saying "thank you for listening"'s at the end of every speech I've done, and then in the Year 11 English orals, I said it, and the teacher's were like, "no, you shouldn't thank us. We should thank YOU." Personally, I feel that I should thank the audience ... for not visibly falling...

    ISP topics

Mmm... I've written a draft introduction and draft conclusion... does that count? :D

    4u Class of 2006

Done curve sketching (I hate graphs), working our way through complex numbers (I love algebra :D) (even though this goes way beyond my initial conception of maths ... i.e. 2+2=4)

    Listening task

Yeah, 'tis rather. We were told not to pick up a pen during the first reading, though that was junior years. Can't remember if they made us do it in Year 11... I dunno, I suppose they think we won't miss anything, unlike if we were just scribbling away furiously the whole time...? Who...

    Listening task

Hmmm... do you mean, AOS? 'Cause otherwise, I have no idea what an "AOF" is... Anyway... I have teachers that MAKE us do this... it all depends on what your teacher will do, I suppose. And read through the question booklet/sheets/whatever BEFORE they start playing the tape, 'cause then...

    HSC Assessments- Thoughts/Results

Yah me too... :( I've got another *counts* four assessments to go, and another thing that doesn't count, but we still have to do, I guess... And this is the HSC.

    What are you currently Reading?

Recently finished Picnic at Hanging Rock, am digging my way through The Tempest (for English  ), and I LOVE the Obernewtyn series! I read them in the 2004/2005 summer holidays... I want the next book to come out NOW!

    ORT's (Other Related Texts)

So, what is everyone planning on doing for their Other Related Texts? And, more to the point, has anyone here done, or is doing, the movie Picnic at Hanging Rock? ;)

    HELP plz very urgent

Haha, obviously I've come across the wrong way... only meant that I had time on my hands after going thru' exam paper... :) Let me add to that list: twiddle your thumbs stare out the window make faces at friends watch the second hand tick around... and around... and around...

    ISP topics

Out of sheer curiosity, what topics are people doing for their ISP's? And is there anyone, absolutely ANYone out there, who is doing Shinto?? ;)
  19. bananasmoothy

    this years Major Project ideas?

I can't decide. :( Friends are doing totally cool stuff, and I can't think of anything half decent. Ah well. BTW, if no-one cleared this up for you, NO, you can't put your name on your major, whether it be the actual project or any documentation. I think the markers actually come to your...

    HELP plz very urgent

Hahaha... in Business prelim finals, wrote out business report, finished early, was bored, so made the headings "bold" by colouring them in. :D Just a tip in case you finish early in the HSC exam, or something.
