    wolfmother suck wang

You know why I really like them? Because people like you are not fans. Call me elitist or whatever, but going to gigs with hordes of screaming and or blinded fans just shits me. Not that you are either :D

I hate anybody who tries to be retro (Jet etc), the time has passed. Depreciated. Edit: And only The Mars Volta can make afro's look cool.

Bridging Courses - Chem & physics

I didn't do chem, or the bridging course, and got 52 in fundamentals. It was tough coming in there without any background knowledge. I still wouldn't reccomend the briding course though. I did the maths one and it didn't help.

Engineering - is it worth it?

Do whatever you enjoy. I love engineering full stop, that's why I'm doing it. The fact that more civil engineering graduates get a job in their first year out then nurses - well I'm not complaining. Not to mention a starting salary of 40k. Which is one of the highest of all courses....

    Overrated Artists and Bands

Nailed it! But I would add Wolfmother as of recently.

    Combined Eng. Degrees.

    1. Yes 2. Areas like Physics, Chem., Biology etc. 3. Apparently it's easier to get a job as a combined student, but a bit of experience in the holidays would probably equal or exceed that. Not sure yet because I haven't finished :P 4. According to my friends that are doing it now: No. But you...

    Flexible First Year/Flexible entry inquiry

Just do civil engineering for one semester then transfer - it is exactly the same (depending on which stream you do of course). That is if you don't want to risk it or wait for the application to be accepted.

    BE/BSc

Geology is fun and you learn a lot. And you have this guy I am about to enter the 3rd year of Civil, and after doing but one 'environmental' course I am hooked. The job prospects are not even second to nursing! It all depends on what type of person you are, but I have noting but praise for...

    Guide to Getting HD's

How about the most failsafe way of getting a HD? Wait for it................ Waste more time then anybody else studying your arse off (only applies for courses that value understanding over regurgitation).

is maths worth it for the HSC

I have a friend who never even did maths them jumped straight into MATH1001/03/05/02 (first year maths). He found it incredibly difficult and failed two of them, but it's still doable. A lot of uni (that I've found) is all about effort, and has little to do with previous knowledge.

    Uh, help?

I never really got DFD's or Context diagrams down pat, but I managed to pull an 89. Just know your keywords really well and go into length with your answers.

Gaps in knowledge? Fill them in here!

True, but markers don't really like smart arse answers. My teacher was a marker for engineering studies and he said they reward answers where they learn something new from the response. Which thinking of it now might go well with your example. It's been too long :P

Wow. Never knew that. It makes me feel kind of good when I think that only 160 people beat me in the state :D

How do u find the difficulty of engineering studies

The difficulty of enigneering studies depends entirely on what type of person you are. If you played with lego and pulled stuff apart as a kid, you'll do well in it. I found it really enjoyable and becuase of that got a high mark. But that's like any subject you do. And Maths, Physics and...

    Uni Games - EUG/AUG

Our team isn't doing any of the theme nights. They suck and are basically the same as Tammworth. So we made our own :D
