ye there's masters. ive heard its only really more valued in asia. Because 1 person I know in 3rd yr is doing masters coz he said he wants to work in china and they like masters ppl.

i always thought acst/law was something good for family dinner parties only. u'd end up graduating and choosing only 1 career. most ppl in my yr (i think only 1 person left) dropped the law.

some actuarial ppl do econ141 to jack up their gpa. from ppl i know, they're usually ppl who missed out getting into a mainstream unit so they use some of that time improving their gpa. But ur friends doing acst243 n dats got a pretty complete prereq list...so maybe he's opted to do econ201 this...

they're not based on supply and demand? but each yr can only have around 200 max, so wat if another 100 ppl all with gpa >3.5 wanna transfer?

internal transfers are based on supply and demand and i think u normally need gpa of around 3-3.5, so thats credit/distinction. To not fall behind in too many units, u'd take some actuarial units available to you as a accounting/finance student in first year and then make the transfer. but...

i dont have any personal experience, but most of the people I know who have missed an exemption choose to do it externally because they say its easier. *shrugs*

thats only if say you needed a uai of 95 and you got 94. You'd have to negotiate with the uni saying that something like english pulled down your mark and they take into into consideration. it's not a formal procedure. * it's not for commerce related subjects * it's not automatic entry *...

not true admission into univeristy is determined by UAI, not what subject you were enrolled in. u may have mistaken it for certain units in your degree that require a prerequisite (ie. completition of previous unit), or completion of HSC 4u. eg. hyopothetically, say some statistics unit...
