    Australian Business Week

A while back, I received a scholarship for the Australian Business Week State Program 2002 at Sydney university and it was damn worth it - even though I didn't do business studies. Both year 11s and 12s can apply for it if it is offered at your school. Although current year 12s probably...

    What's a good mark?

HA! Hardly irrelevent and anyway, originally, I didn't even want to know that, I just wanted to know how the Simpson rule was derived, but now I know. There's nothing wrong with taking an interest in your subjects. And so what if I'm not in year 12?

    What's a good mark?

Sigh... Dumbarse! I know it's irrelevent, but in knowing this, it might motivate me to never go wrong with it - also, it's just out of interest, you dumbarse. (i reckon you must get that a lot, yuh jackass, hehe) -CHUDYMASTER- Chudy brings curry, curry brings wisdom, wisdom is Chudy.

Which text book is better: excel or Jacaranda or any other?

Well... Look mate, it had to be done sooner than later all right? Some one had to get the short straw, that's you. Someone also had to get the unusually long straw, that is I, CHUDYMASTER!!!

    What's a good mark?

Yeah, well.. As funny as they may be, I am not looking for Homer Simpson as an answer.

    What's a good mark?

Hmm.. Very funny. MOCK Me...but one day I shall know the truth... So, anyone here know the truth?

Hmm... How well did some of the alumni HSC students actually go in terms of UAI? Lazarus for example...

    What's a good mark?

What the hell??? Half of you people aren't answering the original question, which was about 3 U maths. Although I'm getting a vibe that things will be easier to cope with than 3 U in the preliminary course, which was pretty heavy for us at the time. BOTTOM LINE: Was the Simpson who...

Which text book is better: excel or Jacaranda or any other?

Well... For one thing, they study the topics in greater depth and they've structured their topics appropriately (as opposed to compiling ridiculous topics with ridiculous and numerous cut-outs, named ridiculous things such as "Electricity in the Home", "Space" and "Age of Silicon". Although...

Which text book is better: excel or Jacaranda or any other?

Agreed. I like America's education system and science syllabi actually, it makes more sense than ours. Too bad "they're" also bastards. ;) -CHUDYMASTER-

Which text book is better: excel or Jacaranda or any other?

I doubt that... I mean, doesn't all that scaling and moderation stuff come into consideration after the HSC? I could be wrong however, but how else will they know until the cohort has done the exams?

Which text book is better: excel or Jacaranda or any other?

HAW HAW HAW HAW HAW... Feel my wrath! I'm in the lucky cohort, because we did a lot of work in the prelim year and now, as it comes to the crunch, we don't have to do so much. Yeah, I do kinda feel sorry for you. But meh, I wouldn't have minded doing the extra work, you're learning a lot of...

Which text book is better: excel or Jacaranda or any other?

Well... I'm in the same position as you, although I have the Excel book and from what I've seen it isn't very good. It has worked examples and some questions at the end of each chapter, which is good, but not very good explanations. My suggestion? Wait until you go back to school and ask...

So how about that biochemistry, aye?

Pretty boring elective aye? Well I wouldn't know, because I'm starting year 12 next week. Could someone who's doing it tell me how it is? Is it short? Is it easy? Is it cool? I've looked in the books, it looks like a lot of memorisation. Input please? (or have all your schools gone the...

plz help....Which option topic is the best to do?

Oh... Well no, logic gates don't really have a lot to do with the age of silicon (even though I'm not doing it or year 12 yet for that matter) And in any case, my school has chosen from Quanta to Quarks as well, seems popular.

plz help....Which option topic is the best to do?

I doubt that... In SDD, we're not all that concerned with how the hardware communicates/works. Or at least, not on a scientific level.

Only 3% of people got BAND 6 last year...

Really? Ouch. And yeah, last year, only 8 people in the whole state got a band 6 for SDD out of the 3330 people doing it.

plz help....Which option topic is the best to do?

WHAT? YOU get to CHOOSE?? My God, our teachers choose our electives. I feel sorry for you if you can choose - it shows your teacher(s) have no experience in teaching and will most likely run away on a holiday at the last second, leaving you with...DA DA DAAAA... ...A SUBSTITUTE TEACHER...

    Derivation for Simpson's law.

Yeah, I know... I know about THAT Simpson, he was Australian though. I think the Simpson we're talking about is American. I could be wrong about the soldier thing however, I will investigate.

    A few questions.

Yeah, thanks. I'm not in year 12, I just went through the first few chapters before next week, where year 12 actually starts for me. And so a boundary is sort of like the scope of the new system, yes? As for the rest, I think I'm okay with it.
