/me runs from thesis unless civil eng prac requires you to write the equivilant of a thesis, i'll probably stick without an honours degree. it's not like it's hard to find a job now

So what exactly do we do in an honours program? Or do I have the wrong idea here...

What are the advantages of having an honours degree in the workforce? What exactly do you do in your honours year? I'm a civil engineering student btw

for civil engineering, and probably other streams of engineering, you only need a 62 WAM to get into honours :D

most people i know park on the streets around uni. it's a pretty safe area and there's quite a lot of spaces there, especially if you get in early and/or are willing to walk a little bit.

I must say, these 2 finalists suck. They'll fade away within a year or two imo. Anthony Callea and maybe the 2 guys from the 1st series will do well for a long time. btw I don't actually watch aus idol, i just saw an advertisement for them just then, and i didn't like their performances at all.

but i don't understand why they didn't schedule for everything to be pushed back 1 day so that the final could be on a sunday. i.e. performances on saturday surely it'd be more profitable for them

grrr i wish i knew the timetable for the PE gened. i'm also doing a maths subject during the summer session so i hope they don't clash :(

heh i just checked the tv guide and it says that it's on tomorrow. why they would put what would be one of the highest rating shows of the year on a monday instead of a sunday is beyond me.

I would think for the majority of the subjects, the supplementary tests would be catered more for the people that failed because of their own reasons, rather than for the people that were sick, because they probably outnumber them by 20:1. I sat the exam because I got a mark between 40 and 50...

i don't think the NSS thing applies anymore.. whatever it is (I think it's new south student www.nss.unsw.edu.au). applying by my.unsw should be fine

I have done a supplementary exam myself, and I will tell you that it's at the same or easier level. Seriously, what's the point in making it harder? Everyone will just fail it again if they failed the first time with an easier exam. Lecturers want people to pass, not screw them over, because it...

login, go to https://my.unsw.edu.au/active/studentClassEnrol/programs.xml there should be a summer session button there click on it, go to add courses, search by catalogue > type in course code > rest should be straight forward

always stock up on vitamin C before exams :D as for the supp test, i would think you'd get the full mark because it seems rather unfair if you don't... but on the other hand, uni screws us all over sometimes, so i dunno :)
