    Whats the enivironment like?

UNSW certainly does have one of the most highest rates of international students from Asia. You'd probably find more aussies in courses like engineering, but I'd say there's more asians in UNSW than most other unis in Sydney.

All right, who'll be joining the ranks next year?

I think they're making things easier for a lot of the engineering courses at UNSW. From what I've heard, civil engineering is also undergoing a subject restructuring, which'll most definitely make things easier for future students. All I've heard about the subject changes so far are that Statics...

wow lots of elec eng people.. be warned - it's hard :p edit: in response to the above - i find uni A LOT easier and more fun than yr 12. Reason being is that you're doing something you chose instead of something you're forced into doing, e.g. english.

    Repeating maths question..

Don't be so hard on yourself

I'm a 2004 HSC student and I too, didn't get an all out flattering UAI rank. Sure it wasn't bad (80s), but it was nothing compared to what my parents and friends achieved, or expected from me. Sure, I got a few lectures from my parents afterwards. Sure, I got a few moments where I wanted to stab...

yeah it's a bitch trying to contact lecturers about marks - especially during holidays. i still haven't gotten a few of my marks back for my assessments and i can't get a hold of a lecturer about a problem with my first 2 assessments.

By 'pass' some lecturer's make it >40%. It should say in your subject outline. I'm pretty sure that these results are final.

thanks I read that bit about the WD previously but it didn't make sense to me. Why wouldn't it be finalised? The reason I asked is because I vaguely remember someone not turning up to the final exam (through legit reasons I assume) and receiving a WD. Yet my friend received a WD and he did...

What does WD usually mean? Is it true that you can only get a certain number of PC's before you don't get any more? If so what's the maximum number of PC's that you can get? or does it vary by faculty/school Marks marks... got the marks I was hoping for in page 5 or something
