Welcome to BOS emRkate :) I did an assignment similar to yours a while ago but not on specific plants. If you have the Heinemann (Mudie, Brotherton et al) textbook, the pages 194 - 199 might be useful to you. But if you don't, there's obviously, always google.

Read other people's creative writing and see the similarities and differences between your story and theirs. Like, why is their piece better than yours and why is yours better than theirs. Try writing with different structures i.e: poetry, first person, 2nd person etc Usually the best stories...

Well, depends if the person you're borrowing them from gave you permission to do so in the first place, i.e: if they're from this site then it would be fine seeing as people submitted them in voluntarily. It would be wrong if you stole them or something, lol.
