    u dont really find assymptotes in 4u or find things like turning points etc like in 3u.

    Q8 was hard The grazing one was hard to uderstand, but i fink u had to find area by adding up triangle and segment of circle. The last bit of that, u juz find f'(x) of the given f(x) and use newton's method. But i ran outer time subbing values in.

    yer! I totally agree! u know wat else can boost your makrs by 70%? learning how read. Coz aparently the test is in english and if u dunno how to read, then that's a total catastrophe. :(

    i was wondering, in the uac letter, it's got a brochure talking about the UAI. It says that the UAI is based on RAW hsc marks. My question concerns the fact that i do 4u maths and my raw mark isn't gonna look as pretty as 2u maths ppl. Therefore is that statement wrong?

    ye, but these guys who've gottan 1/8 mustve found dr/dt, and multiplyied it by 2Pi to get rate c is changing Which seems to be valid to me. *shrugs* hopefully both methods are marked correct

    yup, i totally screwed dat But luckily i was psychologically prepared by looking at the 2000 cssa paper last night. So instead of exploding during the exam, i already did that last night. Hopefully i'll get around 60 :(

    ivr had another go at the sphere ques i think there r 2 ways of doing it. If u find dr/dt and times it by 2Pi u get 1/8 Or if u find dc/dt (c=circimference) u get 3/8 I think both answers should b correct. The reason they're diff is coz the value of dv/dt they gave u may not be realistic.

    to find the horizontal assymptotes, expand ur equation of graph, divide top and bottom by the x with highest degree (power) the limit when x-->infitinity is you horizontal assymptote And then by looking at degree of your equation and the sign of x, u'll have a general clue of wat curve...
