Post-grad students, how many units did you do and would you have changed anything?

Re: Post-grad students, how many units did you do and would you have changed anything 12 While at some points I was unhappy with my results and contemplated dropping to 10/11, I'm very glad that I didn't :)

    Subject Selection for Year 11

Since you said you enjoyed commerce, I would recommend economics over legal studies. And extension 2 is only advisable if you have the creativity and wish to write a lengthy story/essay. You also need to have good time management so that you are not rushing to finish your major work in the...

    Which subject to drop?

You should choose the subjects you like doing. As a result, I think you should drop Chemistry since if you're finding it boring, you will be less motivated to study for it. Then, because your interests seem to be maths based, I would suggest you pick up Engineering studies in that slot.

Your Opinion On "Back Up" Units

I think 'back-up' units are essential because no matter how confident you might be in your subjects, the final HSC exam has a 50% weighting. And if you just happen to have a bad day in that exam......

[TENNIS] The 2014 Australian Open Thread

Re: [TENNIS] The Official 2014 Australian Open Thread I think Cibulkova can win at least one set if she maintains her form. And doesn't freeze up like Lisicki did at Wimbledon

    Accelerated subjects

That's why usually only the top students are given the opportunity to be accelerated. Also, the main advantage of accelerating is that you can get one subject out of the way. It means you can spend more time on other (possibly weaker) subjects the following year.

    Timetable?

I'm sorry, it's not letting me post a screenshot. Tut1 is: 25/2-8/4, 29/4 - 3/6 And Tut2: 11/3, 8/4, 20/5-27/5 Which means that they sometimes both on the same day

    Timetable?

On the timetable site, it's a separate group: Lec1, Lec2 but Lec2 does not appear anywhere on mysubjects. So I should just go back to mysubjects later? Yeah but they are on the same days as Lec/tut1?

    Timetable?

Hey. For my subject 58116:The Ecology of Public Communication, the timetable builder shows that there is a Lec 2 and Tut 2 (as well as Lec 1 and Tut 1). However, when trying to do my real timetable, I'm only asked to choose times for Lec 1 and Tut 1. Is that supposed to happen? Thanks :)

    Timetable help? :)

You choose one of 'Understanding Communication' and 'Language and Discourse' So that's a total of 3 subjects in Semester 1

[TENNIS] The 2014 Australian Open Thread

Re: [TENNIS] The Official 2014 Australian Open Thread I think Murray will be upset before the QF. He'll be down on match play, being only on his second tournament back from surgery after losing to Florian Mayer in the Qatar 2nd round.

UTS law vs USYD arts --> law

UTS law vs USYD arts --> law

I got an atar of 98.40 and am trying to decide between UTS law or using arts to transfer into USYD law. Obviously, I am trying to weigh up the advantages of USYD's prestige and being able to get directly into law. Thoughts? And these are some other questions I have: 1. How easy is it to...
