Probably, but I am doing an Actuarial major, that's why I'm choosing it :)

I did 10 units and got 96, and wasn't really confident with 2 of those units, but I took a chance. A mate of mine did 11 units, one of which was Ext. 1 English, and it ended up not counting and he got a UAI of 98.5ish. Make of it what you will.

I have heard they are, although it doesn't say they are on the letter UNSW sent all the first-years. I think they are the support act for Eskimo Joe.

Yeah, I thought that's how it was, and yes it does clear things up :) But what if you want to do two majors, that require different subjects, how would you go about enrolling?

That definately makes a lot of sense, but the electives also take two sessions to complete (i.e. Mathematics for Actuarial Studies and Finance 1A, and there is also a Mathematics for Actuarial Studies and Finance 1B)

My program is B Commerce, I plan on doing a double major (Actuarial and accounting). I told the guy at the uni this when I rang him up and he said I should choose a course from each major to go with my cores.... I must be interpreting something wrong?

Just wondering, for MATH1151, there are four lectures every week. Are these lectures the same, just at different times so it is more convenient for people to choose which one they attend, or is it necessary to attend all four? Thanks for your help :)
