    Q3(a) WTF!!!!

I put 0.7 I did the halvign the interval method twice, and found that the root lies between 0.7 and 0.75. Hence it needed to be rounded down. It really came in handy that I read up on the 1996 examination report yesterday night though: The question was suspiciously similar: 1996 HSC 2(a)...

    For the 2 Unit kids..

Questino 10 was certainly not parametrics Parametrics is when you express a formula in terms of another variable, for example t e.g. x^2 = 4ay can be expressed as x = 2at and y = at^2 Thats parametrics Question 10 was locus/parabola stuff Certainly not 3 unit...

    How was the exam?

Im hoping for 70/84, from what I've counted...I screwed up the rates of change question and hence lost valuable time. I only did bits of 7(b) and had no time to check over my answers unfortunately :(

2UNIT paper apparently needed 3UNIT skills!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was most certainly a 2 unit paper. What I will say is that the only thing IMO that helped 3 unit students was the identity (A - B)2 = (A + B)2 - 4AB You use it a bit in polynomials (sometimes). Yet even here I have seen questions in 2 unit textbooks that are very similar, e.g. If 2x2 + 3x...

Who else is screwed for tomorrow?

Im not sure that a 'lot' of ppl get 80+ /84 ... But the majority clearly are not scoring 90% + , from the non-4 unit students anyway.. Oh also when i said "one or two questions" i meant, like, sub parts to questions, not WHOLE questions ;) But you are right, there are bound to be ppl...
