    I never understood the motors and generators crap until I got to Year 12, so dont worry too much about it in year 11..Just keep trying, and get some other people to explain it to you other than your teacher if possible.

    Yeah, the other way uses triangles with tan (x/2) = t you also know that sin2@ = 2sin@cos@ so therefore sin@=2sin(@/2)cos(@/2). Just work out the half angles using the triangle and you get the same result
