    Need your opinions please!

I really don't think you should go somewhere where you would have to do the subjects in another language. It would be beyond hard if you don't know the language to begin with. You'll be hanging around mostly with English speaking people after class so it would be really hard to get a good enough...

    Need your opinions please!

ok, so on your list you have Ireland, Canada, Mexico, South Africa I think it's safe to cross South Africa off the list. You don't want to spend your exchange worried. I personally would go somewhere European, non-English speaking. There is no point in going to another English speaking...

    Daily Telegraph people

I think you were polite enough about it, some people just get short about anything. She was probably getting all types of reactions from people. It could have been the same person who talked to me, I must have looked so perplexed that she picked up the paper and handed it to me and said 'take...

Macquare short exchange programs too late too apply?

the international office give up to 2 grants so it's not asking too much.
  11. iambored

    Err... Why!?

 take the second one, you 2 go well together (in a good way) i think you need someone a bit more eccentric than number 1 also, waiting on the msg board and then messaging you, twice, is a little too clingy for comfort.

Macquare short exchange programs too late too apply?

contact the person running your particular short exchange, monday morning, sharp, and send the application then. although there is a high demand for them so it's likely that they might not take any more applications.

Anyone still pushing for the GLP?

I don't think you can claim for things in the year before you enrolled in the GLP (they were allowing that for last year only). I think the rest just have to be claimed before you finish the programme.

Anyone still pushing for the GLP?

Yeah the only thing I can suggest is to read all of the emails they send because some good things come up, and do all of the easy categories X25-29, also if you can be a mentor and leader (if you have enough years) that is worth some pretty good points. Besides that I am no help because I...

Anyone still pushing for the GLP?

I'm still in it. I don't think I will complete it but I will attend as much as I can. If you don't complete it they issue a letter saying what you did complete so I still think it is worth it. Then you can bs on about what you learnt. I think it's good for the resume. I found out that you...

how many hours do you work per month?

You got it right there ;) I know we are supposed to, but as we all know, it doesn't quite work out that way. Kids spend 30 hours / week at school. I'm sure they do more than 10 hours homework and assignments per week at home. I think it would be more like 10-15 hours of homework and another...

how many hours do you work per month?

I wrote a whole thing but have just decided that the only thing I really want to say is that I don't think there is a problem with school kids wanting time off because they have more contact hours than most uni students so they also have less time to do their assignments. Uni students take time...
