The UWS law program is actually quite good and I thoroughly enjoyed it. However what the problem with the law program is the students. Very many students do not care or are not committed enough to be considered law students. I find it appauling how students with insufficient knowledge...
You can't relay place a time on it. Everyone has differing focus and concentration abilities. What I do suggest as advice (which I was told for the HSC) is to know your syllabus. It is your study guide and all questions I do believe must be directed from the syllabus.

I've been reading this threead and thought I should comment. As I have been to UWS adn studied there be it only for a year this is what I have concluded:
-UWS is not backward ie the campus has great facilities for learning (emphasis on learning facilities and not social)

Use Tim Reily- he has the most detailed economics book that you need with all current statistics (for the year it was published) and has handy chapter summaries at the end of each chapter and multiple choice, short answer and extended response questions in the HSC format
