I'm certain I want to do Law, so it should be the same regardless of University? That is good then. Do you think my LAT score will put me in a decent stead for studying Law?
Well according to UNSW's published minimum ATAR admittance for 2016, the lowest ATAR they admitted was 71.8. Do you exceed this ATAR? If so I would say it may be possible. This is for a Bachelor of Aviation (Management) though right?
Hey all,
I just finished the HSC and though my ATAR did not meet the cut off, due to AAA I have been given 3 Bonus Points towards a UNSW degree and additionally, I performed within the 97th percentile for my LAT so hopefully that would place me in good stead for admittance in January.
My...
That's great!! And yeah it's crazy!! I only found out after receiving my ATAR but it affirmed my belief that I got DUX! Also okay that makes more sense if it is automated as my school assumed that the person who came 2nd would be DUX so I assumed they would have chosen her if Principals had to...
Well, when you receive the thing saying you are eligible for it, it says something along the lines of "Congratulations on receiving the Highest ATAR" so I assume it is for DUX. Not to mention, both jazz519 and I got offered it and we both got DUX at our schools.
ATAR was under what I needed by 0.55. However, I got DUX in my school so I got my AAA email from UNSW today and I get 3 bonus points from that for UNSW so hopefully that will get me in! :)
EDIT: Does UNSW automatically find out who got the highest ATAR in each school and offer AAA to them? Or...
Like has been stated above, if you were ranked first than your results could not have been dragged down by others and could only be the result of your score, or could even possibly have been improved by the scores of the others in your cohort.
Surprisingly no. Not because I am overly confident or anything, I am just not feeling heaps stressed or nervous at the present time. Will probably be feeling it when I go to sleep tonight though ;)
If this was a one time thing it is okay, but you will need to improve drastically and cannot afford to bomb out on any other assessments. In saying this, are you sure you are able to do 2u Maths? At my school, a lot of people dropped from 2u Maths to General Maths around this time last year...
If you find it difficult to memorise your essay, my tip would be not to attempt a full memorisation of it. I think it would help to write a practice essay that can be molded to the question you have to answer and to read through it a number of times so you memorise the general idea and a number...
I think that the base information and argument is solid, though I would work on better establishing my points. For the introduction, you have primarily focused on addressing random tidbits rather than outlining the basis for your response to the question at hand. If you do this, then go into...
The ATAR for all courses is generally based upon a combination of course difficulty, coupled with the quality of applicants (ATAR's) and the number of positions available at the university. As such, yes it is possible to get in under the ATAR in some cases if not enough spaces were filled by the...
