Aiming for 50/50 which I think is possible since I'm coming second in the grade for Ext 2...
Yes, markers really love difference. My teachers looked at my concept and were like 'LOLWTFHhowdyoucomeupwiththat???'
I've done six different drafts of m major work, and I'm seriously happy with the current one, now I just have to wait and see what my English teacher thinks of it?
I don't know what to do about it. Usually my handwriting's pretty normal, maybe a bit on the scrawly side, but when it comes to exams, I literally scribble. What's worse is, my teachers, since they've known me for so long and all are used to this style of writing, and thus are able to interpret...
I believe that all you need to do is make a sacrifice on the neatness quality of your handwriting and then you will have more time. For instance, I used to only be able to write 4 pages in 40 minutes, but by changing my writing style abit, I can now write 5.5 pages in the same amount of time...

Half yearlies aren't until May.
But we have an assessment block coming up. Oh how fun.
It goes something like this:
Week Starting Monday 3/3/08
Mon - Eng Adv
Tues - Maths Ext 2
Wed - Eng Ext 1
Thurs - Maths Ext 1
Fri - Chem
Mon - Eco
Frontline is the absolute awesomeness.
Seriously.
After reading so many notes and doing so much critical analysis of it, you learn to love it and embrace it as if it were your firstborn.
Why don't you try going to coaching?
A friend of mine got like Band 4 for his SC Maths, and then his parents sent him to coaching, and then he got 97 for his HSC Maths Mark.
Trust me. It helps.
We sit in the hall where the principal/deputy principal will inundate us with stats from the Class of 2007 and how they expect us to do better, considering last years median UAI was like 98.45 or something. Then we get our timetables and scooter off to class.
Let's see:
- I finished my Economics Notes
- I finished Maths Homework for Ext1 and Ext2
- Going so-so with Chemistry notes
- Started typing out draft 1 of Eng Ext 2 Major Work
- Haven't done Chem assignment
- Watched and read related + set texts alot of times
- Watched all of the Chaser in a week
Since this year is my HSC year, my parents have been really REALLY nice about stationary. They actually let me decide what I want to get, compared to the age where it was those 20 pack bulk blue pens from Aldi that ran out every three days.
Kinokuniya is the best place for stationary ever.
