ur half right, but they held interviews in November based on ucat only. then they give offers based on atar, there are no second round interviews

Generally favour gws students too, it’s unknown whether the 96 is a hurdle or a minimum, so many 99s got rejected so it was prolly all up to the vr section which is so stupid imo 💀

Can you please give me suggestions for Music performance pieces?

Try to steer away from pop and rock and those alt genres on piano. I reckon general rule of thumb on violin, cello, flute and piano is go for romantic, classical, baroque. Impressionist is also rlly nice!

Nah that must be untrue there’s no way, there’s ppl who got 3000+ ucat with 99+ atar and got no interview 😭 So registrars locumming involves them taking up excess cases in hospitals, whether they’re from the ED or otherwise. in areas like Sydney, Adelaide, major cities, it’s hard to find a...

    What 💀

    med

Nah it’s actually bc of the fact that we have too many med students and interns and not enough employment opportunities. Registrars are forced to locum at a new state every week with little pay bc there’s no permanent job, and no one wants to work rurally

Undergrad. - get high atar/high gpa for non standard entry - get high ucat/recommendations if ur going thru jcu - excel in interviews (either panel or otherwise) Postgrad. - get high gpa/wam score - get high gamsat (extremely difficult) - excel in interviews

    UCAT vs school

Also they favour Sydney students over others

    UCAT vs school

Yeah they need a high atar with rlly high ucat (they consider best scores in the verbal reasoning section) plus do well in interviews
  13. N

    UCAT vs school

Yeah that’s right they consider only atar, but obv that demands an extremely high cutoff. They also need panel interviews (offers already rolled out), THEN u get an offer to study

    UCAT vs school

Yes. Undergrad med is either Bach med or Bach med sci/doctor med (straight transition from Bach to postgrad without any exam, like at usyd)

    UCAT vs school

It’s okay, private uni with a heavy focus on Catholicism which is fine for most ppl but annoying for some. Also bach of med/surgery (assuming ur looking at jcu) is another way of saying doctor of med but only for undergraduates. So this might be 5 years. But a doctor of med is a postgraduate...

    UCAT vs school

Also keep in mind that some assured pathways still require mmis or panel interviews
  17. N

    UCAT vs school

Because even these assured pathways are a) difficult to get into (eg unda needs to consider ur ucat plus interview) and u need to maintain a certain gpa/wam across ur course years or b) its assured as long as ur in the top 10% of the cohort (which is difficult considering that ur cohort is...

    UCAT vs school

Just search the uni up tf 💀 it’s in South Australia Also an assured pathway is normally 3 yrs of an allied health course (eg biomedical science) that guarantees u entry into postgrad med at the same uni without having to sit the gamsat
