Yeah i know about the effects of the composition of the steel to its properties. But my question is why does carbon promote rusting? You said something about it allow a site for reduction/oxidation to take place, can you explain that part a bit further?

In those ATAR calculator, when they ask for the HSC marks, do they mean the final HSC marks sent by the board of studies 1 day before the actual ATAR or the external? I'm pretty confused

Nah, i tried with my legit estimation of my marks (ESL, Mat Ext1&2, Chem, Bio, Physics) and i got 99.95 so i decided to put 80 for all of them and it came up with a 98.7 lol

apparently mid band 5 for all subjects get you an ATAR of 97 :^ It got me excited for a second there

My math teachers told me that with 3 90 subjects, and 2 80 subjects (after scaled) i'll def get a 93+. According to my estimation, i'll get around 3 90s and 2 high 80s so i don't know guys, but i really want to believe the 2 guys above and my teacher :D
