    If 4% ionisation and monoprotic, then [H+] = 0.04 X 0.01 = 0.0004 Then pH =-log[H+] = -log[0.0004] = 3.4

    Pythagoras once to find 'a' -- it seems you have done this Second Pythagoras comes between 'a' and the vertical displacement of 250m. 'a' vector would lie on the plane which contains the cardinal points (I.e., parallel to earth surface or ) and 'up' is perpendicular to earths surface, so...

    identification of ions help :/

    It is to do with Le Chat. In an acidified solution, Ba produces ppt with sulfate, but not phosphate due to the relative weakness of the hydrogen phosphate ion. This is because hydrogen sulfate is able to react with water to produce hydronium ions and sulfate ions. Enough sulfate ions are...

    Trial Question

    As above. How did advances in technology lead to advances in Physics? - invention of telescope -- discovery of other planets, galaxies etc.. Changed understanding of model of the universe -- analysis of spectral shifts led to suggestion of "Big Bang" which was supported by observation of CMBR...

    Talent 100 or Matrix Education?

    If the teachers at your school aren't the best, I dare say more detailed would be better than a brief overview. I have seen Talents notes and they are VERY brief and sometimes don't even appear to address some dot points. Based on this, I would recommend Matrix. Orrrrrrrrrrr...

    Best Year 12 Physics Textbooks

    IMO - PiF is good to begin with, but I don't think really extends enough on some dot points to give an 'extensive' understanding, sometimes not even a 'thorough' understanding. I personally find In2Physics gives more complete understanding -- goes beyond the syllabus in some key areas...

    static equilibrium question

    Alternatively, noting the first 40cm on both sides would provide balancing torques and essentially cancel each other out you would be left with: 1 x 0.3 = 20/100m x 9.8 x 0.5 And you should get the exact same answer.

    Yep, this is a massive misconception. Resonance is such a strange term to call this phenomenon, when nothing is actually resonating, lol.
