    Does God exist?

well, subjective in the sense that i might be colour blind and believe grass is red and you might believe it's green, but only one of these subjective views are in accordance with objective truth.

people are more interested in spirituality now than at any point in history

I think that society in general is becoming more and more interested in spirituality in recent times. More books, films and music are dealing with questions outside of our own selves. What it means is another matter for discussion, but it's interesting thought anyway. Just today on the way...

Do You Support the Death Penalty?

true that, and in alot of cases there are extenuating circumstances...not that it makes the deed any less serious, but surely these should be taken into consideration. how about that greek woman in the news today who stabbed her chronically ill husband because she was suffering from...

    Does God exist?

I see your point, but as I said people don't come to salvation through logical reasoning otherwise 1) salvation would depend on our own works, and; 2) people who develop cogntive impairment and stillborn babies would never receive salvation.

    Does God exist?

If resurrection after three days and turning water into wine doesn't do it for you, then I wonder what evidence you could possibly need?

    Does God exist?

i think that God as a whole is very logical, but as I explained His logic goes beyond our understanding so it would be impossible to try to describe phenomena such as creation of the universe with our limited reasoning. To me that's not a cop-out, it's a theological argument.

    Does God exist?

Oh I think it's possible to let the teacher know he's wrong without ascribing any personal blame and making him feel guilty. I probably would have, so the other students don't rely on false information. Though I guess it depends on the type of person (whether they can take constructive...

    Does God exist?

i don't reject logic...in fact being logical is what's allowed us to come so far with our scientific and medical advances over the past few centuries...and what allows me to prescribe treatment with the expectation that the patient will get better. What I'm saying is that God is not illogical-...

    Does God exist?

do you not suppose that if there was a God, he/she/it would also encourage adherence to right living? why is it that the majority of religious systems teach morals? if that's the case, how can you possibly claim to be true to God?

    Does God exist?

I didn't mean to imply Riet was right when I said "the Bible also says"...actually the Bible never says we're free to sin. Sorry if there was any misunderstanding.

    Does God exist?

ahh zeitgeist...a well presented and seemingly believable documentary, but i'm afraid it's wrong when it comes to christianity...after having done some basic research, i found that many of the claims the "documentary" are outright lies (e.g. Horus was never resurrected) and take bible verses out...

    Does God exist?

the good book also says So you see if someone is truly saved, they'll become "slaves to righteousness" so to speak and no longer be involved in sin. If someone consciously continues on sinning after having accepted Jesus, it shows they don't appreciate the implications of his sacrifice and I...

    Does God exist?

oh really? i think the bible says that all sins are equally wrong, but i'll have to find the reference for you. to deny that would be effectively to believe in the Catholic doctrine of mortal and venial sins

    Does God exist?

of course they're important, and God made those rules for a good reason, but observing those rules can't make anybody right with God because we'd still fall hopelessly short of the standard required to be saved. that's why Christianity is much more about knowing Jesus Christ on a personal level...
