I dont think this is entirely true. My friend did French beginners, and she ended up having to drop it because she couldn't keep up as she had 0 experience with French and the people in her class while not coming from a French background had done French or some European language during class...

Science and Arts at USYD and UNSW. Technically I'll be enrolled in USYD but because I'm doing Russian I have to take that class at UNSW. And because I'm doing the new Science and Arts, the one that hasn't run before, I'll be doing my pharmacology major and Russian, but I also have to take law...
