1. Most do, but it depends on every course. Some lecturers don't even use powerpoint slides and some only give students castrated copies (bits missing so that you have to go to the lectuers to fill in the gaps). At the very least, if you ask the lecturer or email them they will give you copies...

Heh, I can't believe I missed this thread! Was that irony intentional? You'll notice that a lot of people (girls especially) will be a little over-dressed for first days of uni. I for one am a fan of it, it's a good way of being able to tell which are the excited first-years.

It's been this bad since before I started. There's nothing they can really do about it. Yeah, it's very similar to parking at Westfields during peak time.

I wouldn't go THAT early, even on the first day. If you have a class from 9am-1pm, I'd recommend coming at 9, atleast for the first 6-7 weeks.
