Indeed. Revolutions are also an effective way of changing the world.

    Homosexuality in Australia

The authority of scientific knowledge is a matter of degree depending on the issue. "The Earth is flat" is a fairly well established and undisputed matter of fact, whereas "Homosexuality is not a disease" is a less undisputable view and a matter of classification. To characterise them in the...

Yes whether homosexuality is a disease and whether homosexuals should be granted marriage are two separate and unrelated questions.

    Homosexuality in Australia

I don't disagree with that definition, but let's face it - reproduction is a significant aspect of people's lives. The discomfort, dysfunction, distress lie in the fact that without scientific intervention, homosexuals can only reproduce through acts that may be discomforting or distressing...

    Homosexuality in Australia

I'm not sure if it's actually cureable but it certainly wouldn't be worth putting too much effort into it.

    Homosexuality in Australia

The way you put it was rather amusing. I'm actually of the view that homosexuality is probably a "disease", albeit an incureable one. That does not mean that we should treat them as second-class citizens however, just as we shouldn't treat people born with any disease any differently.
