    Muslim People in Australia

That's a good point. Although if those people are merely adhering to the religious customs rather than actually believing in the religion, they're in a sense just like the rest of atheists. I also don't think that the number of atheists have increased throughout history. There has always been...

John Howard Hates the HSC English Syllabus

Exactly right. But because it's from the "Marxist" or "Feminist" perspective, people like John Howard cannot see beyond those labels. If we keep mentioning the "aristotelian" or "christian" perspective, it might be misunderstood by some critics aswell.

    Homosexuality in Australia

I'm inclined to believe that most homosexuals are male, and so the reproduction issue is solved by heterosexual men mating females more often. Surely you consider this to be a good thing...?

    Role of Police

I think it's because people can't be bothered to go to the courts. The courts may well find police in the wrong (and they sometimes do).

    Liberal or Labor? (or other)

Irony is difficult to convey over the net. Let me clear this up. The process that is created, rather than the final result, is the intended result. Do you really believe that the government is a bunch of bleeding hearts who actually care about people dying from terrorism? Do you really believe...

    The official IR reform thread!

Everything gets politicised. In this case, it's been poorly done and easily attacked.

    Liberal or Labor? (or other)

Bad idea. That would remove the external threat that governments exploit. How willingly would citizens in the West accept anti-terrorist measures when the figurehead of terrorism is gone?

    Role of Police

I'm not convinced that society is descending into chaos due to a lack of respect towards police.

    Muslim People in Australia

I agree that they are all wrong, but people don't believe in stuff for no reason. There's something in it for people who believe in god... comfort, hope, or maybe a feeling of superiority over those who don't believe....

    Republic vs Monarchy

I am curious as to what I have written which so clearly reveals my ignorance of the constitution and of political theory?

    Footnoting

No I don't think you can excessively footnote. Don't be afraid to cite more than one source within each footnote either.

    Republic vs Monarchy

Me too. I would be very sad to find out that there are people in the world with different opinions.

    Islamic Imperialism

"No matter if it is a white cat or a black cat; as long as it can catch mice, it is a good cat." *I hate Israel too.

    Mine Antarctica??

Not that it's economically sound to do (if you take the environment into account :p), but I wouldn't be surprised if Antarctica is mined in the not too distant future.

    Republic vs Monarchy

Not much. I guess it would satisfy the nationalists.
