    Help with Law/Arts enrolling!

Well, prescribed faculty elective can be anything - it can count toward your major, or minor, or just something random. As long as it's an Arts subject, or administered by FASS. Also the university doesn't know, so you have to build your degree to make sure they fit to the requirements they...

Hold on, if you're already enrolled - your offer should be accepted already, so that should be fine now.

    MATH1131 Lectures - can't decide between lecturers

Teaching appointments vary. I know Tisdell is teaching MATH3121 - Mathematical Methods and Partial Differential Equations this year but... who knows what else, and who knows for Pahor. If you want to check, go here: http://www.timetable.unsw.edu.au/current/MATHKENS.html The timetabling...

    Help with Law/Arts enrolling!

    1. Yes you do, it's just so you fill in the credit points requirement for a major or minor. And you may need to do more than one elective throughout the degree, just check the plan or handbook. 2. You must accept it, or else it'll lapse I believe, for someone else to take during a later round...

unbelievable, who even lies on their profile :p But yeah, Bill Walker is -exactly- the reason I'm doing the course. Easily the best English lecturer I've had by far. What other courses have you had with him? --- oh and almost forgot: (minus MATH5645)

Ah well, I'll see you in ARTS2034 lectures then! According to your profile, you're a guy which means... you'll probably end up being the only other guy in the class. :detective:

    Help with Law/Arts enrolling!

Philosophy is fine, it's an elective from arts so that's fine. Also it's best to have an idea of what major or minor you want to do now so you can get all the boring Level 1 courses out of the way quickly, so you can progress to the higher level stuff sooner - rather than doing a first year...

Should I do a mathematics bridging course?

MATH1131 is work from Maths Extension 1 and Maths Extension 2 revised, plus some extra. You're probably best off taking a look at a few textbooks and learning the relevant parts while you're in summer break.

    2nd year finance maths

Look at the Finance major page for that course here (scroll down from the link you gave me to find it): http://www.handbook.unsw.edu.au/undergraduate/plans/2014/FINSA13502.html Also FINS1612 is a first year course, so you can do it whenever you want, since it's offered in all semesters...

    MATH1131 or MATH1141?

If you want to get higher marks, due to scaling, you take the Higher course. Moreover, you got 184 combined - I got 165 combined and I still took MATH1141 (and did very well), so you should be fine. WAM is average mark, GPA basically looks at whether you got distinctions, passes or what and...

    Bachelor of economics degree

Maths in economics? It gets to an easy-moderate level, nothing too ridiculous. Of course, in the higher courses, especially in research, economics basically becomes a lot of applied mathematics. And if you want to distinguish yourself, I'd probably take maths because mathematics is about clear...

Science - Psychology or Arts - Philosophy @ UNSW

Well, if you want writing and reading... you probably want to take an English major or a Philosophy major in Arts. If you're doing a second degree based purely on interest, like me, just do what you like - not what will offer good job prospects or whatever (remember your motivation for the...

    Parking for night classes

Around 4pm, there'll probably still be full carparks - there is parking on campus, but that's paid parking... free parking will be scarce. After about 5:30pm, most places clear up for free parking. But yes, UNSW is a campus you really should be taking public transport to and from - because...
