    CityRail Discussion

I travel on the train one hour each way for four days a week (8 hours a week). Total travelling time is 2 hours each way to go to uni, which is a lot. This includes getting dropped off at the local station and then catching a bus from central. But overall, I think CityRail is doing a fantastic...

    New Honda Civic

I think it's much better looking than the Astra. The interior looks more up-to-date as well. Ciel is soo right about leather. My car is black and has no tints. So the leather almost melts!!! Luckily summer is almost over. I'm glad the leather is beige and not black as well! :O Get a black one...

    Driving Test @ Hornsby

Remember that there is a limit to how much you can prepare. I remember doing my test at the RTA where all of my friends did it (it's the only one reasonably close to us.) The prick made me go through a route I didn't even think they could test you on. It was to places I've never even been before!

    BMW E36 3-series coupe

Only idiots service their car at BMW service (which costs around $800). My friend used to service his E46 Coupe at this place in Parramatta for only a couple of hundred dollars.

Going For Your P's - Tips

The RTA doesn't have a rule for this. Basically, when you drive, you eventually shift into the gear required to make a turn or to stop (which is the first gear). In the process you have two options. 1) Go down gears sequentially, e.g. from 5th to 4th to 3rd to 2nd and then turn (or continue down...

Going For Your P's - Tips

    1. It's a matter of preference. If you want to wear out your gearbox quicker, then downshift. Otherwise you'll wear out your brake pads quicker (which are cheaper to replace). 2. No. The person testing you will only ask you to overtake a car going slower than the speed limit (if they ask you at...

Going For Your P's - Tips

Umm I'm not too sure on this, so maybe someone can clarify for me; At the crossing, if it has a stop sign, you have to stop regardless of whether you see people crossing or about the cross. If the line before the crossing is unbroken, it's another way of saying there's a stop sign there whereas...

Would u rather a unicorn or a car?

I'd get the unicorn. I could ride it around the streets shouting "horsey horsey!" It can eat people's garden vegetables as it's form of fuel and I wouldn't have to pay rego or insurance. The transportation's minor bumps or scratches can heal themselves too. :D I wonder if you can get them in...

Going For Your P's - Tips

Your friend must have had a really nice inspector. My instructor just kept on stressing the point that I must never go off course because it's an instant fail. It's always better to ask the inspector to repeat what he/she said if you didn't understand it 100% rather than taking a risk...
