If you hate Maths Extension 1, then you should drop it. It's not going to be a safety net for you ATAR wise if you're going to do horrible in it and waste your time in it.

Finance jobs are probably more... available - in that there's more of them. Chemistry might be a bit harder. Depends what you want from the degree - you could be like... a chemist for Sydney Water who tests stuff and whatnot.
