95% of my cohort at school would disagree with that. A "little" bit of effort? Dude, not everyone is that smart. There's a reason why 25 of the 30 people in my cohort did General Maths.

Personally, I think for the sciences - the best study guides are ones that give you extra notes along the dot points of the syllabus. If nothing else, they give you extra info - plus they also form a structure to add stuff to.
