    BoS Trial?

If u mean BoS as in this website's name, and not Board of Studies (the department name before NESA) I'm not sure how you found papers from 2002. Anyways, here are the papers and solutions for 2013 to 2015 maths adv...

    Discrete and Continuous Data Question

Continuous variables are not neccessarily variables that can take irrational values. Remember that there are infinitely many rational numbers also.

    Can I get into Extension

4 tests for year 10 maths? Wow, that's a lot. At my school we had an online test (I did year 10 in 2020), then an assignment, and then 2 in-person tests. The good news for you is that schools generally put a greater weighting on the tests later in the year, particularly if one of them is a...

How would you structure a response to this question??

Hey I remember doing this question a few months ago. Here are my pointers; Begin with a definition of the BOP Always make a plan before you start writing an essay Make sure to mention ALL components of the balance of payments. However, you will probably have a bigger focus on the trade balance...

    emf

When you explained your working did you mean dash as in derivative? If so, you have the right theory but remember that emf is opposite to the direction of change in flux, as represented by the flux formula. Therefore it is A, which you will notice is the negative of C.

complex number euler form modulus question

The most prominent method is to let e^{i\theta}=cos(\theta) + isin(\theta). Then use the fact that |x+iy| = \sqrt{x^2+y^2} The locus of z itself is an ellipse which would have been helpful in the old syllabus. However, there is still a geometric way to find the maximum value. Recall that...

Lol I forgot about that. Well I guess you guys know what i mean anyways.

What would be the best way to self learn the hsc physics course/concepts?

My method was as follows: Open up the ********* book, the pearson textbook (or jacaranda/in focus) and a physical notepad. When you come to a new section of a topic, read the ********* book first as a 'pre reading' exercise to orient you with the topic. Then read through the pearson textbook...

Unable to view sources within past HSC history Exams

Try searching for the names of the sources and finding out the information. I tried the link in source D and I believe that source might be the table on page 12 of this pdf https://historymuseum.kennesaw.edu/docs/how-would-you-vote.pdf

    Cambridge Ext 1 Dilations Q

I would interpret it as a reflection in the y-axis. It's not undefined you just need to consider the new domain.

Should I study stuff outside of syllabus for Mathematics Extension 2?

Contrary to the opinion above, I think this is a very poor idea. The teachers should focus on covering the syllabus in greater depth rather than trying to force wider learning on students. Imagine if an english tutor made their students learn and examine books not within the prescribed texts...

where to find short answer q's w/answers? (for practice)

Back in September I stumbled across Fort Street 2022 P1 which was the most useful english past paper I had ever seen. It had a specific marking criteria, advice, feedback on better responses and sample answer for each question.

can i still get a band 6 or even 5 for english??

In my first assessment task, a multimodal, our school decided to weigh it at 30% (higher than trials for whatever reason which was a complete dog move). I got a very low mark compared to the rest of the grade, pretty much the same situation as you, which was extremely demotivating. Throughout...

Can I use the 2021 edition year 11 eco textbook?

It's pretty much fine. I reccommend doing your own research on the internet for 2022/23 stats, but any medium term stats and trends are fine to use from a 2021 book.

    Integration: Reduction Formula

(1-x)^\frac{3}{2}nx^{n-1}=(1-x)\sqrt{1-x}nx^{n-1}=n\sqrt{1-x}x^{n-1}-nx^{n}\sqrt{1-x} Now you have terms involving U(n) and U(n-1) and so you can progress through the reduction formula.

    integration by substitution qn

Let u = \sqrt{x} u^2 = x dx = 2udu 2\int{\frac{u du}{1+u}} 2(\int 1 - \frac{1}{1+u}du) And complete via standard integrals and change back to x. Determining substitutions is a skill you develop with practice. It is not always just to put the denominator as a variable, but try and imagine in...
