Univeristies cost different amounts due to what course you are doing and the national priority for that course. Eg. Science and maths etc is a national priority so you will be paying the lowest course fees compared to something like medicine and law which aren't a national priority. Most uni's...

I completely agree. Throughout the year I had so many lightbulb moments that could of been moulded into a great ext 2 work. My favourite idea was doing poetry with Shakespeare's idea of the seven stages of man. The child, the lover etc. Could I pick ext 2 up at TAFE for the fun of it? haha

I'm going to go ahead and embarassingly say, no... I'd love to do Bsc(Advanced)/Law at USYD but my marks are obviously stopping me from doing that directly (93.7) and I don't think I'm ready to leave Newcastle just yet.

Is it possible for me to do law/science at UNCLE and SOMEHOW transfer to law/science at USYD? Or is that just out of the question? lol

I'm sure you can do it. If you have the ambition and determination, you can get good marks. My maths tutor told me of someone he tutored who did the exact same thing. He was getting 82's and 83's for 2 Unit, then he got my math tutor to help him when he did 3U and 4U and after a year of hard...

UNCLE has quite an extensive engineering program, though, it depends what you want to do ultimately. Some uni's have more specific courses while others don't.

Dear 2011's, do DO some study in this holidays. It's the perfect time to get to really understand your first modules of work in each subject and a chance to get into a study routine etc. I hardly did any study during this period and now wish I did :P

I don't think people who get 99.95 are the "smartest" in the state, I think it's better to label them as the people who "performed the best" in this years HSC.

@ Bored of fail. The cut off for law is actually around 97.5 and with the 4 bonus points I get, my ATAR goes up to 97.7 :)

The ATAR calcs seems to be higher than many actual ATARs this year. Except for extremely high ones like 99.5+, The calcs seemed to get those spot on.

3 Unit Japanese can be very rewarding and interesting if you do well in it. I tried it for a term, but it wasn't really my cup of tea. I mean I enjoyed it for the time I did it, but it seemed a waste of time for something that wouldn't count towards my ATAR.
