What do students do for entertainment/ free time

agreed. I know "those" people who go back to sydney every weekend. The fact they have a shit time in canberra is because they've never actually spent a weekend in canberra and bonded with people/friends at college. Anyone who actually wants to have a good time (and doesnt have a social disorder)...

worth coming to ANU for law?

Its a scare campaign made by north shore mothers to keep their "precious" kids at home. Canberra is just a "quieter" city. By quieter; i mean you can only go clubbing on thursday, friday and saturday nights. So not really that quiet at all. Air is cleaner, and there are hardly any traffic jams...

worth coming to ANU for law?

go to anu - its a great uni and its highly regarded internationally. As far as money goes, there are many ways to pay for uni accom - including through centrelink. I would suggest going to a catered college because centrelink will cover the food too. then all you need to spend money on is...

stay away from pure sciences like physics, maths (obviously), chemistry, engineering etc I do geology and their isnt much maths involved anyway. Arts degrees keep you away from maths.

    UAI Cut-Offs: 75 up to 85

I went to a private boys school on the north shore. The DUX of this school is @ ANU, and so is the person with the 2nd highest mark. (yes they were both above 99.95) you fail.

    UAI Cut-Offs: 75 up to 85

neo - most people do honours for a reason. Also another reason why your acedemic transcript comes into play when getting a job.

    UAI Cut-Offs: 75 up to 85

keep in mind the UAI is based on supply and demand - so its not indicative of the quality of the university. Most people are just scared of moving out of syd/melb - hence low demand. Also remember the standard hasnt changed, so if they dont maintain good marks - they're kicked out.
