My family owns (functional at the moment) two netbooks and four PCs. Netbooks get clogged up so quickly and run ridiculously slow. My next computer will be a PC - I have gone through two laptop batteries in 3 years ($400) so that's put me off.

UNSW is the best in Australia. I'd consider which one is closer (travelling 1 hr + to get to uni sucks a dick.) Undergraduate doesn't really matter that much so the scholarship one could be better - personally I was going to pick USyd over UNSW because I hate the idea of general education...

I asked ANU and they said it depends on UAC though I think the chick wasn't that well informed. Filled in my special consideration form today.

I am applying to ANU with a ATAR of 90 and GPA of 4 (WAM of 61) - you should ask UAC how they calculate your new enter score (do they use GPA or WAM.)

I agree with this. Transfer should be your last resort.

Applying to transfer to ANU BSci (82 ATAR) from UWA BCM. My WAM is 59 - have 1/3 fails on transcript (depends if they use both my transcripts or just the latter one.) I got a TER of 90 and have finished a 3rd year course at UWA. Will the fails stop me from getting in?

Anyone got any ideas apart from the obvious ABS, CSIRO, Banks... Fiance is doing Biomed and I'm doing maths.
