Coles supermarkets 1 on 1 interview

that makes me so angry. In our case it was 6 hrs before a compulsery 1 hr break (manager refused to give 1/2 hr breaks). Every day he would give me a 7 hour shift (which i only get paid for 6). I got so annoyed at that store because i would finish a sandwhich in 10min, and sit in a park for...

Coles supermarkets 1 on 1 interview

If you are part of the union they will force you to take the break - whether you like it or not. If you are not part of the union - assuming your manager prefers to pay "overtime no break"* then you will get the Choice** to take the break or not. *alot of managers refuse to pay overtime etc...

    ANU Email

thats exactly what i do. I also have it setup so outlook checks anu mail and downloads it all. (This means i don't have to be connected to SDA to check Gmail, it doesnt clog the anu email storage server, and it has a pretty good user interface). If anyone needs the codes i.e. pop3 addy etc...

What do you do when not at uni/college?

im at college, but i'd like to add my 2 cents here. It is worth joining a club or two (if you havent already). There are so many clubs, from hobbies, sports, political affiliations, subject related.. etc. I'm in 3 clubs, so my life just isnt at College. :)

Coles supermarkets 1 on 1 interview

Obviously i should have gone into more detail. I work at liquorland (not coles supermarkets itself) so this is from the store point of view (remember still owned by coles and comes under the same union). First point If i have a 8 hour shift, i am allowed to have one break (after 6 hrs)*. In my...

So how many days do you spend in uni per week?

Around 18 hrs a week - spread over 5 days. I live on campus, so i'm not really worried if it is spread around or not.

    Rules for Customers

I find the same problem at my liquor store. People lean over the beers to adjust the prices, (they're on flipcards) and expect to get away with it. Its when i honestly wish a good beat down could be 'given" as a deterrent.

    Information on Accommodation

Data ports is hardwired, and therefore fast. Wireless is sketchy (mainly because it was designed not to reach residential buildings) Data port will give you access to everything (i don't do wireless), but wireless will give you free internetif you can get a signal.

anyone else think this is unfair?

You fail bad, speak english or STFU. Impressions are not marked, but they set a standard. Thats why when i go for my test, ill go in a plain and simple car, in neat and tidy clothes. And i won't engage in any "discussions" regarding road rules, politics or any other controversial issues such...

How Much Study Should You Do Every Night?

Do how many hours you feel necessary. If you sit at a desk for 6 hours a night and you don't want to study - its 6 hours of un-productive time wasted. Might as well have read a book or something.

    Another Laptop Thread!

tbh thegovernator you've just done the equivelent of walking into an office building and announcing you need a car with 4 wheels and an engine. 99% of products on the market would fit that criteria.

anyone else think this is unfair?

I think you need to focus on speaking english clearly before attempting to pass your driving test.

Coles supermarkets 1 on 1 interview

you can still quit the union i think. Unions are useful in the pre 90's era, and in an industrial workplace. But a big company like coles/wollies etc has to much to lose to fuk its employers over. I'm tight, i'd want my $4

anyone else think this is unfair?

A good friend of mine rolled her car when a p-plater cut her off by not checking her blindspot when changing lanes. tbh i think 3 strikes is more than enough chance. You only get one chance on the road, if you fuck it up, there are potentially serious consequences.
