    Cool question

Why not just integrate by parts? Edit: Lol- I just realised this was the 2U forum- sorry. Yeah its a good question to test understanding then

Is it worth doing a past trial paper if you don't have the solutions as well?

No but this is different. Like obviously you benefit from any question but I'm saying you benefit more if you can mark your work and check your score. Its possible that you thought you did everything right but you missed something when graphing or whatever. Without answers, you wouldn't have...

    Is it too much?

Yeah definitely. Give it a go and worst case it becomes too hard and you drop it. Its worse if you have those regrets later on about whether you should have done it when you didn't

    Is it too much?

Don't know about number 1 because I don't know anything pretty much about either of those subs. For 2, it depends what you are like at maths. Yes it is a harder course- you need more understanding then 2U requires etc. How much more effort depends on you. For some people, it'll take no extra...

Just throwing something out there- the scaling in maths especially but also the sciences is insane. For people that are naturally inclined towards maths, a mid B6 in both 3/4U maths is pretty achievable and that scales to an ATAR equivalent of 99.95. My point is that the system is already sort...

    meaning of this line?

It is implying that things like drinking, smoking and banging chicks afters partying is rebellious.

Is it worth doing a past trial paper if you don't have the solutions as well?

No- considering that there are hundreds of trials with solutions- this is kinda pointless because you won't know if you made sillies or whatever. Sure you'll still benefit but you'd benefit more if you had solutions.

    The Umat Results 2012.

Honestly though, UNSW med is VERY hard to get into- very few people actually appreciate just how hard it is. There are lots of other unis though that are easier than UNSW. Are you applying for interstate unis etc.?

    The Umat Results 2012.

Obviously though it all depends on your ATAR as well. Say with you guys, with your expected ATAR's, what sort of UMAT would you need to be competitive for med? Or uni-goers, given your uni marks, what do you need for med?

    Should I worry?

Honestly, I didn't and I don't think you really need to kill yourself now- just relax and enjoy your last real holidays. That being said, if you feel you are behind, it will probably make sense to catch up and enter Y12 on the same level as everyone else. The trick with HSC is just consitency-...

Violence erupts in Sydney over anti-Islam film

Nah I agree with you. I disagree completely with the actions of certain Muslims but I don't generalise across the whole of Islam because of them. Its like I don't hate Germans even though Germans perpetuated the Holocaust.

    Is it too much?

If you are interested in those subjects, you'll be fine. Many people have done similar or harder subject combinations (Asian 5 for example) and ripped them so as long as you stay on top of everything, you'll do well. Good luck

You say that you will force english to remain compulsory but that it won't count and then you say that people will still be forced to learn it and become literal. Why? This actually makes no sense. Say if english didn't have to count to my ATAR- why would I put any effort into it whatsoever...

But you are implying that being creative means that you must produce artists and that a rigid society is required to produce engineers. This makes no sense. Engineers and architects etc. need vision. They can't be mindless robots and think the same way as everyone else- look at all of the great...

@Solooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo- so how would you run the system? Like who would decide the cirriculum and how would you enforce it?

Re: The p00n thread This is retarded. I'll just give one example why I really disagree with this. Obviously different people have different natural abilities. Person A is really slow and has to repeat year 3 four times. What happens to his self esteem? You have just destroyed an individual's...

Re: The p00n thread And can one of the mods move this to its own thread- this is actually a fascinating topic and I reckon others will want to read it- I didn't think it would become this big.

Re: The p00n thread This would be a very repressive cirriculum and would eliminate all forms of individual learning. That would suck balls. My best teachers are the ones who know their topics and can approach it in an interesting and engaging manner. They often speak off the cuff and give...

Re: The p00n thread Tbh, this is naive because it assumes that everyone learns the same way and that all teachers teach to the same ability. Its like when unions or whatever say that all teachers are just as qualified as each other and can teach to the same ability. That's bullcrap- there are...
