    Hey there First things first - ANU offers uniTEST (if you dont get in first time) where you can get into the course with a lower UAI if you do well in the test. Secondly -do something you are atcually interested in - don't do medicine/law/psyc etc just because of the social status/popularity...

    Yeah there are a number of people here who get the government funding- (umm whats it called AusStudy?) and it usually covers there expenses. But for many people they are independent - but they just can't prove it, thats when the pressure hits. Its been the best move ive ever made to move out...

    hmmm a visit to the hospital to get an abortion VS a $1 condom (and you can get them for free at most universities & social events) - i'll choose the condom. She doesn't need to be on the pill if you've got plastic on.

    definatly worth the move - seriously. There are plenty of people who are here from melbourne. ANU is great - i can't imagine myself anywhere else. I spose the main challenge is at the start and end of every year. But even then - we have box rooms where you can store your junk over the holiday break.

    UAI is based on supply and demand for that particular course - anu is a big campus (well funded) and there are many people who are too scared of moving away from home and therefore dont come to ANU. Standard is great here - challenging and fun*. *Yeh big call to put "fun" in there next to...

    im at johns and i'd talk up Bruce and Johns over Burghmann - come down here for tours of both if you can. Both places will organise tours for you to come around our colleges lead by a student. Definatly worth it.

    WIN XP yeh but i have heard the mac processors are faster for the price, but yep fatmuscle has cleared that up. Emulator? I run Unbuntu on my PC with XP as its base OS

    (cont) I had about 5 close friends who were all in relationships. 3 of the relationships broke up around trials time - the other 2 are still going strong 1 year later. (I did hsc last year btw)
