    LG KS360 = Death trap?

I've had alot of good luck with LG products in the past except for my LG 17" CRT monitor which decided to die one day. I still have an LG KG245 sitting around as the emergency phone. The only reason I got a new phone to replace that one was because the battery life was crap. 2-3 days at most on...

    laptops that cant move

It sounds like that Lenovo/IBM active hard drive protection nonsense. The laptop itself can sense what angle the laptop is at and shuts down the hard drive if the user sets the movement sensitivity up high.

    Project car

Yeah, I was looking for a RWD car because I like the feel and handling of an RWD better, even though it might be 20 years old+. But I don't want something that's too old like a Datsun 200B from the 80's or Kingswood from the 70's because I can't get parts for them too easily these days. Whereas...

    Project car

I know this is probably going to sound lame to most of you but here goes. I want a project car to fiddle around with because I have a hobby in car mechanics. No it doesn't have to be new or unique, but it does have to be old and cheap (even some light rust won't kill). I don't know where to...

Crappiest car if you've ever driven!

1983 Ford Telstar GL. It had stupid faults and made annoying rattles and sqeaks which was annoying. Thank goodness it was sold and I got a 1990 Holden VN Commodore Executive.

Do you like Holdens or Fords?

If I had to choose, I'd take the Holden. Locally engineered and made, cheap parts and easy to maintain. There's also a distinct engine noise with the Commodore, you just know when one comes past. Also the 3.8L V6 in the Commodore has high torque and is virtually unbreakable. But if I was looking...

    Padstow RTA P's test

Just an update... I did my driving test twice there. I failed the first time for accidentally speeding through a construction zone (didn't slow down in time) and I passed the second go which was yesterday. Thanks.

    Padstow RTA P's test

Is that the rail bridge at Padstow? If so, I drive there very often.

    Padstow RTA P's test

I was actually being serious about this....

    Padstow RTA P's test

I am going for my driving test soon at Padstow RTA. Has anyone been there? Do you guys have any tips or advice for that area if you went for your test there? Thanks.

    Car under $7500?

I went out to car dealers looking for cars today. I had a look at both the VT Commodore and AU Falcon. The AU Falcon is slightly cheaper and I think it has a stronger engine as well? So, my question is how reliable are Ford Falcons? I see that Taxis use them so I suppose they would have to be...

    Car under $7500?

Well yeah, that rule really sucks. I usually get my father to drive when I need to tow the boat.

    Car under $7500?

Nothing too big, it's just a 16ft runabout boat. I think it weighs about 500-600Kgs or so. But then there's that trailer which it sits on and that's solid metal so maybe another 400Kgs or so for the trailer thing.

    Car under $7500?

Hmm.... I thought it was only a restriction against turbocharged and supercharged cars and that was about it. I guess I'm wrong otherwise. If that's the case then I can only get a V6 instead of a V8.

    Car under $7500?

Hey guys, I have about $7500 saved up for a car at the moment and I'm also looking for a car in that price range. I want to be able tow a boat (or trailer) as well, so I'm looking for a V6 or above here and also preferably a RWD V6/V8 (For towing heavy stuff). I'm only licensed to drive an...

    car audio systems

You can get it installed at the store you buy it from. Or you can install it yourself. The installing part isn't the hard part (e.g. plugging in cables), but the hard part is how to get the old player out of the dash to install the new one.

is free GPS possible on your phone?

I have a Nokia N73 and I also have Nokia maps instaleld on it. The maps themselves can be downloaded directly from Nokia through the "Nokia Map Loader" application available on the Nokia site. All you need is a compatible Nokia S60 phone (N series, Eseries etc.) and a USB cable to download the...

best small first car to get?

I think something like a 2002-2005 Toyota Corolla would be good. I currently drive an '02 hatchback. My Corolla has done 65000 or so KM and it only requires regular oil changes. Pretty good car I'd have to say when I compare it back to the VN Commodore I was driving earlier this year. Safety...

    Laptop screen issue

Back with an update.... I had to take the laptop to pieces today to find the darn screen cable. It was located under the upper section of the palm rest assembly. The cable didn't seem loose at all, I did however take it out, cleaned it and reconnected it. So far I haven't seen my display do...

    Uni Possible?

Yeah, I was thinking that. But at least what you said assures me that I can get into a uni.
