    CSSA 2009 Legal Studies

Who's ready? Who's coming to the realisation that they have an entire syllabus to learn in 1.5 days? I'm more the latter...probably shouldn't of focussed so much on ancient :(

    CSSA Ancient History Trials

Well its done, Was actually easier than expected, and I didn't like the 10 marker for Pompeii (I pretty much didn't look at that syllabus point because I assumed it wouldn't be on it...ah well) but the rest was pretty good. pretty happy with it anyway, now onto learning the whole legal...

    So is Law Enjoyable?

Wow I don't know what to think about that...I guess what you're saying is that it is rewarding but bloody hard, which is fair enough. Thanks for the reply guys, apologies again for the subjectiveness which some of you pointed out. Might think about the work experience in future but too early...

    So is Law Enjoyable?

I'm currently in year 12, close to completing the HSC and I'm looking into a law degree at a few universities. I'm concerned mainly with two questions, and yes I realise they are subjective and opinionated but I'd like a range of opinions if possible. Firstly, is a law degree at university...

    Memorising for Trials

Obviously this is different for everybody, but I have never gone into an English examination without having an essay/story memorised and in the trial exams which just passed I had my story and each essay memorised. And yes, it worked a charm. I guess the trick is, like some people have said...

    Making up Secondary Sources

So it seems to me that the entire HSC so far has been an exercise of who is the best at bullshit, and making said bullshit look realistic. I guess my question is whether there is really any way the marker will know if I say; "Spartan society was the foremost military power of the ancient...

    Past Papers

I have the same problem with the "awaiting copyright clearance" issue with basically every exam on the damn site... frustrating, very frustrating.

    Major Works due!

Well they're marked internally so I don't think its strict really. I went with 1.5 but yeah I doubt our teacher cared what spacing we used.

The 2009 Trial HSC for History Ext

Thanks nail, Just about the book of readings...how important is it? Our teacher downplays its importance and pretty much says not to worry about it too much. Bad idea?

IMMENSELY confused about the exam question for Representation and Text

Thanks for the reply, there's just something I'm not clear on, In my response, would I have to base it around that one event, personality or situation? I know you said the related texts do not need to but I'm referring to the essay in general (Sorry I'm pretty confused). Or is it more just...

The 2009 Trial HSC for History Ext

Can't find any threads on this, so I thought I'd make one. The trials as I'm sure everyone knows are really really close, and I for one haven't started study for history extension yet mainly out of a lack of knowing how to. I don't really have any notes, because our teacher doesn't give us...

To all those who have exceeded the word limit and gotten away with it

Thanks for the help, One more thing, probably a stupid question, Declaring an 8500 word count would be a bad idea right?
  19. T

To all those who have exceeded the word limit and gotten away with it

If, of course, it is possible. Has it been done? have you done it and gotten away with it? How many words over did you go? I'm really asking because my own story is 500ish words over the limit...and I've already cut it down from over 9000 words and I feel like I'm really taking away from it...
