    Which motivate you more?

Bad marks indefinitely . Although, some people may be satisfied with some of the marks I would consider bad marks, as long as I make careless mistakes, I would consider the mark I have received not a true reflection of my skill and thus a bad mark because I couldn't channel what I've learnt and...

So how smart are selective school students nowadays?

At my school, we're all technically 'good students'. The imports we get from year 11 entrance test aren't all the 'smart ones', it's more often then not, we get the hardworking people who are willing to put those crazy hours into it. Of course a lot of our imports are from Baulko, NSGB, SGB...

    Sydney Technical vs Hurlstone Agricultural

referring back to the original question and your issues regarding Agriculture I just started Ag HSC course and all in all, I had though agriculture was horrible up until the end of the prelim course. Agriculture isn't a difficult subject to do well in so even if you dislike it like I do, you...

haha yeah that stuff :S jessica yang or jessica huang? Such asian names lol. but you've got to admit, a lot of asians go to tutoring centres because their parents force them to, not because we actually want to ==/

    SC mathematics Marathon

not trying to burst your bubble but isn't maths a little hard to ask over the net? anyhow m1 = 2 (given) m1 * m2 = -1 (product of gradients of perpendicular lines is -1) 2m2=-1 m2=-1/2 :. the gradient of the line perpendicular to y = 2x+ 7 is -1/2 For what values of a is Y=ax a tangent to...

hmm. 3u maths isn't that bad i suppose, just gets really repetitive imo. since you do freaking deferential calculus on everything and it just annoys me. Maybe it's just me but ruse seems to have a really bad reputation on this forum :S I've seen a couple of threads before in schools and...

we have accelerated SDD and IPT for year 9-10 students :D HSC maths still sounds scary, I've been doing my little bit of year 11 3u and it's pretty crazy near the end so I'm pretty much overwhelmed by the notion of doing 4u maths in yr 12. it's funny because they accelerate our Ag, but it's...

    Philosophy Distinction Course?

this might seem irrelevant but if you want to do a course such as philosophy, however you have completely an accelerated subject that is not related to philosophy, can you still do it? Like, if the course from Pathways you want to do doesn't have an HSC equivalent/related can you do it after...

Is it better to do 12 or 10 Units for HSC?

That is true for people with a weak subject (other than english), I'm speaking for those who are doing around the same (and well) in all of their subjects . It's more of a personal preference of how many units to do since some people do brilliantly with 13 throughout year 12, others are...

    SC Science 2011 MARATHON

Ionic bonding is chemical bonding between metallic and non metallic elements where as covalent bonding is between non metallic elements. In ionic bonding is caused by the electrostatic attraction between oppositely charged ions; between non metallic ions and metallic ions. In covalent bonding...

yeah hahaha. thanks for the heads up. Wow, accelerated? they don't offer accelerated maths at ruse... Goodluck ! yeah, I'm doing Ag HSC next year. REally? Not offering SDD? As if, it's a really fun subject because of the game project in HSC year but the scaling isn't amazing I've got to admit...

    Science school certificate 2011

Agree, although you can make notes to the BOS syllabus online, which I did for my school trial. A lot of the Science school cert is skills or they just throw in some basic concepts that you've most definitely learnt in year 10. You should be fine

    School certificate

School Cert maths won't be that hard since apparently they made it so that the Advanced kids should theoretically get a band 6, the intermediate students should get at least a band 4 . So it wouldn't be that difficult and besides, what formulas are there to memorize in year 10 maths anyways...

Is it better to do 12 or 10 Units for HSC?

Do as many units as you can in year 11, then drop to either 10 or 11 for year 12 so you can concentrate on those units. Also, really helps knowing that you have 2units/4units in the bag when you do accelerated subjects . 10 units may be a little bit risky if you aren't so confident in one of...

How do you motivate yourself to study?

Key thing is to think about how you will fail and the feeling of getting a bad mark. Just think about the feeling of getting that bad mark which I assure you is horrible at least for me stays on my conscience for at least a couple of days. other tips: give someone you trust your facebook...

What on earth do you study for maths?

How you study for maths is that you don't study. At least it works for me, like just do homework regularly and ensure that you know every point that's on the outcomes/syllabus but this is school cert, you should be fine.
