Lol There is nothing really about 1st yr for the lecturers to get excited over, especially discrete. You will find that Ian Doust, who lectures 1/2 of MATH2111 Higher Several Variable Calculus, is a very good lecturer. He manages to make concepts in Analysis interesting.

They're scrapping the M&F plan in the next couple of yrs. It's being replaced by an Advanced Maths specialisation which atm requires either exceptional achievements in mathematics at high school (olympaid) or a HD average in maths subjects.
