Accounting 1A is the easiest HD ever...no thinking required..just remember the equation: Assets + Expenses = Liabilities + Shareholder's Equity + Revenue (Debits = Credits)

Just get yourself a copy of Maple to practice. You don't need to be connected to the maths network (it costs money to maintain the connection).

You don't need to use Maple for Discete. Writing algorithms in the Maple language is fairly intuitive.

Only Matlab is required for 1st yr (mainly the comp test and assignment). You may need to use Maple in 2nd yr maths (eg. Linear Algebra). For both packages, the help files are invaluable.
