    lets hope this question doesnt need to be answered again in this same thread ;) you can get your student ID cards from FM Assist, which is in the Matthews Building (2nd Floor, Upper Campus) near the Matthews Pavillions and Clancy Auditorium

    Naturally there's the CSE labs in Mech-Eng Undercroft and Elec-Eng... And there's the labs in Old Main Building for Maths and Physics...

    for one of my gened's back in '06 a guy would bring his laptop and the iBurst wireless modem and use that... we were in lower campus in the new law building (the paint fumes were interesting then) so i presume he got a good reception there

    dont count on a free replacement, heh... you'll just have to wait again next year to ask for a new photo oh, and despite what Rekkusu said, if you travel concession to and from uni and various places, you definitely need your ID card since the concession logo is on the ID card itself

    yea, he does that with everyone... for us he had some sort of competition with the paper planes, the winner was the first person to throw a plane from all the way in the back of the lecture room to the front.... no one won, although one person got close but it hit the over head projector so...

    ive heard interesting things bout hirschorn.. never had him though... anyway, there are worse things a lecturer can do.... like make all 250 people in the room sing Happy Birthday to you cause your friends ratted you out.... yea, richard buckland was awesome for doing that for my friend ;)...

    no... its on the same level as the matthews pavillions... the levels are a bit confusing since the matthews building is effectively built on a split level system...

    most lectures dont start till 5 or more minutes till after the hour... same may go for tutorials, especially since tutors do have to walk their way in the first place and they're probably doing something.... but yea, no one cares if you're late.. tutors or lecturers may pull off a smart crack...

    you could probably say you want to experiment with the latest technologies provided by DirectX 10 capable graphics cards, but that might mean you have to produce good results for it to be worthwhile

    but if you want to get your ID card ASAP, its best to come to uni early... something like 8:30am.... there's usually no lines whatsoever at that time (of course, if everyone does this, then you'd have to come even earlier)
