    sport at usyd

depends if you want to play for fun (like in school, on weekends) or if you want to be a full hard core rep player. If you just want to play for fun, i'd stick with your local club. Also depends where u are living while at uni, coz all the uni clubs trainings are done on campus, and if you live...

04ers - What degree will you be doing?

hmmm, i dont know, thats a tough one, while it is medicine- like, its not really medicine, and while distinctly sciencey, its not really science, or health science. Maybe put it under agriculture, as that is the most relevant one......

    Cumberland Campus

nah its just separate because of space issues. Its not like Usyd doesnt like health science students so it sticks them out at lidcombe, its just that that was where the campus was built. From what i've seen, its pretty nice. Most of the off main campus campuses are pretty nice, SCA is kooky and...

04ers - What degree will you be doing?

i shall be doing vet science, next year, and the year after, and the year after, and the year after, and the year after, and possibly even the year after that too! why is there no vet science? It is an entire faculty! i feel left out.....

    Semester 2 exam failures

ack, i had cell bio today and it was uber hard and tricky and mean, and asked us about random stuff that was barely mentioned in lectures. Grr to that. Grrr. Grrr.

failing a subject at uni, does not make u dumb

i said that before, i wasnt bickering, just saying that it makes sense that vet is (possibly) harder than med.

    Educational Access Schemes

ok, so how it works is, each course allocates a certain number of places to EAS students, depending on the course size it may be 10, or it may be 1. Out of the EAS applicants for that course, the ones with the highest UAI's (but still too low to get in normally) get offerred the places. So...

    What do you reckon?

dude, from what i've heard, that school is pretty fucked up, and from what i've heard the principal has many other things on his mind than worying about you ( no offence). Can you change schools? I wouldnt stress about him being vice captain, that really doesnt mean much outside of school. What...

failing a subject at uni, does not make u dumb

it makes sense though, if you think about it, we have to learn all the same stuff, but for multiple species of animals, in a years less time (5 years as apposed to 6). So realistically we will have to cover a lot more work in a shorter amount of time, so our workload is higher. I'd actually...

    Semester 2 exam failures

i think 75% prepared is more than 95% of uni students, is certainly about 50% more prepared than me.....

    Semester 2 exam failures

yes goodluck all I shall be on 6am trains for 9:20 exams because i really dont trust city rail at all and i dont want the added stress of "the 7:50am train to central is cancelled for today only". ack! i'm getting stressed just thinking about it. hmmm... i'm hungry..... Is anyone else's...

failing a subject at uni, does not make u dumb

music is so not the hardest degree! i reckon vet is. (but then i would...) but seriously, apparently even med students look at our workload and gasp. I've heard that engineering is hard too, and advanced science. Dont really know about anything else, but people make so many assumptions about...

failing a subject at uni, does not make u dumb

yup, i am going through mine at the moment.... not such a good idea considering it is stuvac and i have exams next week..... hmmm. And my sis is getting annoyed coz i keep throwing my books at the wall.... . Yesterday i was in the crying "maybe i'm not cut out for this, maybe i should be...

How many subjects do you do?

yeah but probaly the only time you would actually need to do the 70 hours is in stuvac when you are stressing. I have 30 contact hours, and while i so spend a significant amount of time outside of uni studying, its not 70 hours a week. but then, i procrastinate a bit.....

failing a subject at uni, does not make u dumb

most people i know that have failed things have openly admitted to not working hard enough, or not working at all. Uni is hard, but not so hard that its impossible to do well. In most subjects ( some exceptions) if you do the work, you will pass. But you cant really expect to pass by doing no...
