I missed out on vet science last year by 0.05, and theres nothing u can do except cry in your room for a day, and then move on. I got in this time around by getting a distinction average and transferring, and yes it sux to have to be at uni for 6 years, but at least now i am in my course! And...

i dont think there are cut offs, i think they just take the top EAS people, offer them however many places they have and thats it. So if u were trying to get into a course of UAI 95.00, and 10 EAS applicants had UAI's of 94.95 and all applied for your course, then they would get in, and any EAS...

Vet science went up by 0.7, which is a lot onsidering how high it already was. Good thing i am entering by alternate methods.

yeah my friend does nursing at Usyd and heaps of ppl failed in her year, and yeah, she doesnt do as much prac stuff as nursing ppl at UTS or tafe.

yeah, geez, i wish, i only live 40 km's away from uni and it takes me an hour and a half each way. I think if there was a subsidy, almost everyone would be eligible for it.

it really depends what the subject is. If you are going into fundamental chemistry without high school chemistry, you should be fine without a bridging course, but if you were going into regular or advanced chem, you'd need the bridging course. A lot of stuff we learned in the HSC was repeated...

yeah at usyd they offer courses through the student centre about essay writing and stuff, and they are mostly free i think. For me, we were told how to set things out, how to reference properly etc, and for our lab reports and stuff we were able to access samples to copy the layout and stuff...

what job lets you earn $350 a week? i want that job! i only just earn that much (well, mebe a bit more) working full time in the hols! but then, my sis does communications and she is only at uni 12 hourse a week, leaving a lot of time for work. hmmm.
